Vile (on the right) won silver in the 25m frontcrawl |
Guernsey's Matthew Vile took silver in the 25m frontcrawl at the Special Olympics in Leicester on Thursday. The medal was a welcome boost following his disqualification in the 25m breaststroke following a false start. Teammate David Parsons finished sixth in 25m backstroke and seventh in the 25m breaststroke. The island's only female swimmer at the event, Melissa Kenney, came joint fifth in the 25m backstroke and finished sixth in the 25m breaststroke.
