McLaughlin led the Guernsey team home

Guernsey dominated the Inter-insular road race as they topped all-but one of the categories at the Watersplash course in Jersey on Saturday.

Guernsey's James McLaughlin won the senior race with Jersey only managing second and eighth out of the top 10.

Alan Rowe and Ian Scholes completed a one-two in the veteran's race with Ann Bowditch taking the women's race.

Jersey won the junior's race with Guernsey's Alex Wilson and Phil Setters having to settle for second and third.
