McLaughlin finished more than 30 seconds clear of second place

James McLaughlin won the last Guernsey Velo Club time trial of the season over 25 miles at L'Eree on Sunday.

McLaughlin finished in 55 minutes and 44 seconds, ahead of Aaron Bailey and Callum Hill-Smith in second, who were competing as a two-up in 56:08.

Graham Le Maitre was third in 58:49 followed by Mike Dean and Nick Mann.

Mann broke the illusive hour mark for the first time with a time of 59:51, eight seconds ahead of sixth-placed Ann Bowditch, the first woman home.
