Former Arrow McLaughlin-Williams top scored for Flyers with 20 points |
Bristol Flyers returned to winning ways with a comfortable 102-81 home win against the Sheffield Arrows. The home side showed their intentions to put the Manchester loss behind them going 56-34 up after the first-half. At one stage in the second-half Sheffield reduced the deficit to 10 points, but the Flyers pulled away to win comfortably by 21 points. Doug McLaughlin-Williams and Danny Williams were the Flyers' top-scorers with 20 and 18 points respectively. "Tonight's game served as a good confidence boost, especially with difficult away fixtures coming up," said Flyers' coach Andreas Kapoulas. He added: "I was not particularly pleased with our defensive effort at times but there were moments that the team showed what we are capable of. "I think consistency and execution are the two areas that we need to improve on for next weekend's fixtures."
