Everton Tigers will face BBL leaders Newcastle Eagles in front of their biggest home crowd of the season.

The Blues are expecting just under 6,000 spectators to attend the top-of-the-table clash at the Echo Arena, Liverpool on Sunday.

Tigers head coach Tony Garbelotto has told BBC Radio Merseyside the destination of the BBL title could rest on the result of the match.

"Whoever wins this game is going to be in pole position to win the league."

Garbelotto believes Tigers fans are in for a real treat when the BBL's two top sides go head to head on Sunday.

"In layman's terms this is the Manchester United versus Liverpool game of two weeks ago.

"It's one v two and there's a lot riding on it. One team gets themselves back into the league, the other team can win the league literally outright if they win.

"It's two heavyweights, the two teams that have won the two trophies this year," added Garbelotto.
