Everton Tigers director of basketball Henry Mooney was pleased to see his side record two big wins over the London Capitals and the Scottish Rocks. The Tigers beat the Capitals 126-60 and the Rocks 85-73 over the weekend. "It was an emphatic victory against the Capitals," Mooney told BBC Radio Merseyside. "We started really well and we got back into winning ways after losing three on the bounce. We also played very well against the Rocks." Mooney continued: "We were without Richard Midgley and Josh Gross against the Rocks, with Josh going down with a back injury two minutes before we started the game. "But the boys came out really well and James Jones hit two three-pointers and put us into a 17-4 lead and we never looked back from there." | When we play like that we can beat anybody Everton Tigers director of basketball Henry Mooney | But having had a difficult time in their matches prior to the weekend's victories, Mooney thinks his side can now push on and continue to collect BBL Championship wins. "We really turned up to play against the Rocks," said Mooney. "When we play like that we can beat anybody. Ourselves and Newcastle are way out in front but we have two games in hand on them. "So its all going to hinge on these two or three games in the league [against Newcastle] and in the play-off's that's going to decide who's going to win the last two trophies available."
