Guernsey women's basketball team face their two closest rivals in the English basketball league's Division Two Midlands/Southwest. They face the side one spot below them, UWIC Archers in Bristol, on Saturday. On Sunday, they travel to their home court in Hamble where they take on the team one place above them, City of Bristol Storm. Guernsey hope there will be no more problems at the island's airport after they had to postpone their last game. A shortage of airport firefighters meant they could not fly to their game against South Birmingham Bears a fortnight ago. "We've been lucky because the game that we missed we've managed to re-schedule in March," captain Liz Kerr told BBC Guernsey. "The league has to finish at a certain time because of play-offs and so we have no free dates to reschedule again, so if we miss any matches we have to forfeit," she added.
