Guernsey won the Governor's Cup for the seventh year in a row |
Guernsey's swimming team won the annual inter-island clash with Jersey for the seventh straight year at the weekend. The Sarnians took the Governor's Cup in their home water at Beau Sejour, claiming several records along the way. Guernsey Amateur Swimming Association president Chris Butt told BBC Guernsey that it was a good meeting. "It's early in the season and to see so many records at both relays and individuals going at the weekend was tremendous," he said. "A couple of the individual records were over 10 years old so that shows you the improvement in swimming in the island."
