Glendening has claimed two island records in Sheffield |
AIB Tigers swimmer Emma Glendening claimed her second island record on day three of the National Age Group Championships in Sheffield. Glendening, 14, claimed a personal best of two mins 11.60 secs in the 200m freestyle to set the new island mark. Delighted Tigers coach Nathan Jegou said: "She did a good job, went out hard and tried to hold on. It was her best swim of the season." Glendening previously broke the island record in the 100m freestyle. Tom Gallichan was the only other Jersey swimmer in action on day three. The 15-year-old finished 14th in the 200m backstroke in a time of 2:12.87, just outside his personal best time.
