The Devils cruised past Sittingbourne on Friday night |
The Plymouth Devils suffered another Conference League Knockout Cup washout on Sunday as their second leg with Rye House was postponed because of rain. The Devils were 13-10 up when rain struck the Hertfordshire side's track on Sunday afternoon. But the Devils did fare better on Friday night when they beat bottom of the table Sittingbourne 60-31 at St Boniface arena. The victory moved the Devils up to third on the Conference League. Mark Simmonds, Tom Brown, Seemond Stephens and Paul Starke were all unbeaten by Sittingbourne riders as they dominated the match. Sittingbourne won just one race all day through Harland Cook as Plymouth's new signing David Gough scored two points on his debut.
