Nicki Glanz will also not be racing (Nicholas Truscott) |
Former Exeter captain Mark Simmonds makes his Plymouth Devils debut against Rye House on Friday night (1930 BST). Simmonds, 37, comes in for Nicki Glanz, who is riding for Reading in the Premier Trophy at Edinburgh. The Devils are also without Ben Hopwood who is attending a training session with the Belle Vue academy in Poland. His place at number four will be taken by the winner of a race-off between Jamie White-Williams or Danny Stoneman before Friday's match at St Boniface. The Devils, who beat Rye House 47-42 last week, will be hoping to do a double. Rye House have former Plymouth rider Rob Smith in their line-up as well as three-times New Zealand under-21 champion Andrew Aldridge and British under-15s champion Dan Greenwood.
