Plymouth Devils will take a 35-point lead into the second leg of the Conference Trophy final after thrashing Boston Barracudas 63-28. Boston had no answer to the Devils at St Boniface Arena on Friday despite the inclusion of Scunthorpe's Sam Martin as guest replacement for Simon Lambert. There were paid maximums for Devils skipper Seemond Stephens and 17-year-old reserve Paul Starke. Starke won five races and came second to Jaimie Pickard and Nicki Glanz. A date is still to be arranged for Boston's home leg at the Norfolk Arena.
