Smith has claimed two grand prix wins this season

Oxfordshire's Bradley Smith says he has mixed feelings after a podium finish at the 125cc Grand Prix in Misano.

The 18-year old qualified in pole position, but struggled with high winds during the race.

He was handed 3rd place, after a last corner crash between the then leaders Pol Espagaro and Andrea Iannone.

"I realised I wasn't going to get the podium group. All of a sudden I came out of the corner and there I am," Smith said.

He added: "I struggled with at the start of the race with full fuel-tank when I was braking.

"Also, the wind affected me turning the bike and I couldn't ride the way I wanted.

"But the luck has gone my way this weekend, and it has been very nice last three races."
