Smith has claimed two grand prix wins this season

Oxfordshire 125cc rider Bradley Smith missed out on a win at the Indianpolis Grand Prix by just over one-10th-of-a-second this weekend.

The 18-year old was part of a five-man group who battled for supremacy throughout the race after breaking away from the rest of the field.

Spaniard Pol Espargaro emerged on top in a tight finish, with Smith second and Italian Simone Corsi third.

Smith remains third in the standings with five races to go.

The second place finish was Smith's first podium since winning in Mugello in May.
