Smith has claimed two grand prix wins this season

Oxfordshire's Bradley Smith has been awarded third place in the 125cc race at the Dutch MotoGP, despite finishing fourth in Assen on Saturday.

Nico Terol, who finished second, was punished for a last-lap incident with Julian Simon and had 20 seconds added to his race time.

Smith now trails Spaniard Simon by 5.5 points in the overall 125cc championship standings.

The next race takes place on 19 July at the Sachsenring in Germany.
