Oxfordshire's Bradley Smith philosophical after crash
Bradley Smith says he is unlikely to catch championship leader Julian Simon, after finishing in 20th place in the British 125cc Grand Prix at Donington.
The 18-year old from Oxfordshire, who started from pole, was leading the race with five laps to go but crashed.
"I have to be a realist," Smith told BBC Oxford. "I have made life more difficult, if not impossible, but that is the way it goes sometimes."
Smith is now third in the standings, 55.5 points behind his team-mate Simon.
"We have lost ground and I have to deal with it and keep my head up," added Smith.
