Alex Rockwell will join Simon Wakely in the Wiltshire based team
Manx Enduro rider Alex Rockwell has signed a contract for the 2011 season with Team Midwest Husaberg UK. The 21-year-old will ride the FE390 in the junior E2 class at both the British and European Enduro Championships. Rockwell told BBC Isle of Man: "They're a really good team with fantastic bikes, I'm really looking forward to the new season." The Manxman will be joined in the new-look team by 24-year-old Simon Wakely who will ride the TE250 machine. In his first full season, Rockwell produced a string of fine results in both the E1 class of the British and World Enduro Championships. | He is a natural on the bike and very, very quick |
Team manager Simon Molter said: "We're very excited about the team for next season. "Alex really caught the eye this year and we're delighted to have him on board with us for 2011. "To achieve the results that he has in his first year is very impressive." With his new team, Rockwell is confident he can improve on his fourth-place finish in last year's junior British Enduro Championships. "I don't like to predict anything but I would like to think I can break the top three next year," he added.
