Knight has now won four titles at Weston-super-Mare |
Manx enduro rider David Knight stormed to victory in the solo class at the RHL Weston Beach Race on Sunday, to complete a successful season. Knight dominated the event and lapped every rider up to second placed Jamie Lewis during the three-hour event. The KTM rider has already won the Enduro Three World title as well as the British and British 'sprint' crowns. The world champion said: "The race went perfectly for me in pretty much every way." The title was the Manxman's fourth at the Weston-super-Mare event. "I was riding absolutely flat out, up the straight and through the dunes, only to find that I was getting closer to lapping the second-placed rider. It's great to get another win." Jamie Lewis finished on 7 minutes 22:57 seconds down on Knight in second with Luke Hawkins completing the podium. The final top 10 consisted of three Manxmen, with Knight taking the win, and also brothers Danny and Jamie McCanney taking fifth and sixth place overall.
