Russell is confident that the Robins can continue the play-off push |
Manager Ronnie Russell has sounded a note of caution before Swindon Robins continue their Elite League play-off challenge on Thursday. The Robins face a home clash against Eastbourne, a team they beat by a 24-point margin less than two weeks ago. "I'm sure Trevor Geer's side will provide us with a sterner challenge on Thursday," said Russell. "Of course, we won't take Eastbourne for granted but I'm confident we track enough firepower to prevail." Swindon are unbeaten in their last five fixtures, four wins and a draw lifting them to fifth spot, one place outside the play-offs. Eastbourne have strengthened their squad with the addition of Polish rider Thomas Jedrzejak and Australian Cameron Woodward is expected to return. The Robins will be unchanged with Cory Gathercole continuing in the number two berth, partnering captain Leigh Adams.
