Swindon Robins boss Russell targets place in play-offs
Russell is aiming for Swindon to keep pushing the Elite League leaders
Swindon Robins boss Ronnie Russell believes his side are serious Elite League play-off challengers following a 56-36 home demolition of Ipswich.
"Teams currently in the play-off berths are now starting to look over their shoulder as our charge gathers momentum," said Russell.
"For a while we weren't in the mix for the end-of-season play offs, but now we very much are."
Robins skipper Leigh Adams led the way against Ipswich with a 13-point haul.
Russell added: "Throughout July I want the team to continue doing what they are doing now - simply to keep on aiming for league points at every single meeting we race in."
Speaking to BBC Wiltshire, Robins rider Simon Stead said: "We've had a good couple of meetings and things are going really well but we need to keep up the pressure.
"Everyone is pulling together and we're riding well as a team. You get used to winning ways and we're in that groove at the moment.
