Cummins finished second in last year's Senior TT race |
Manxman Conor Cummins says he is happy with his performance at Saturday's North West 200 international road races held in Northern Ireland on Saturday. Cummins earned his first ever NW200 podium in the opening Superbike race when he finished just 0.217 seconds behind John McGuinness in second. He told BBC Isle of Man: "I wanted to win but I am made up to podium." The 6ft 4ins rider dropped out of the Superstock race, which he had started in pole. The 23-year-old, from Ramsey, also recorded strong results in the both Supersport races. Cummins added: "I was on the pace all day, so hopefully we can take this good form into the Isle of Man TT." He will now head to Cadwell Park for the fourth round of the BSB Superstock 1000 Championship.
