Jonathan Rea remains fourth in the Superbike series

Jonathan Rea and Eugene Laverty picked up world championship points in their respective series at Donington Park.

Rea finished seventh in the first World Superbike race but was 15th in race two after crashing and remounting, but he remains fourth in the standings.

Laverty qualified second fastest in the World Supersport event but crashed early in the race before remounting to recover and finish in fifth position.

The Toomebridge rider remains second in the series, behind Cal Crutchlow.

Laverty has 157 points, 28 points behind the Yamaha rider, who was the winner at Donington.

It was a disappointing day for Rea after his victory at Misano last weekend.

American Ben Spies won both Superbike races.
