Cummins currently sits 11th in the overall standings |
Conor Cummins claimed his third successive top-10 finish at Snetterton in the Metzelder National 1000cc Superstock Championship on Sunday. Fresh from his second place finish in the Isle of Man Senior TT the Manx rider finished the race 10th on the R1 and is now 11th overall. "The results at the TT have definitely boosted my confidence," said Cummins "I really want to get stuck into the remaining Superstock rounds and get myself up into the top six. Having missed the previous round at Thruxton due to his TT commitments, the Team Blackhorse Yamaha rider is confident his team are heading in the right direction. "We've proved that we can run inside the top 10 week-in week-out. The team are working brilliantly so I'll keep giving it 100% and ride as hard as possible to get the results I feel we deserve and are capable of," he said. The race was won by Alastair Seeley with Steve Brogan second and Richard Cooper in third. Fifteen-time TT winner John McGuinness was fourth. The next round will take place at the Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife on 5 July.
