Conor Cummins
Cummins 130.225mph makes him the fastest Manxman in the event's history

Isle of Man rider Conor Cummins has said his performance at the Isle of Man TT was 'beyond his wildest dreams'.

After a difficult start to the week the Kawasaki rider claimed his first TT podium in the second Supersport race.

He then went one better by claiming a magnificent second-place finish in the senior event.

The 23-year-old said: "To be honest, it's beyond my wildest dreams and it's going to take a while before it sinks in properly."

To top off an incredible week for the young rider, Cummins became the fastest Manxman to lap the Mountain Course at an average speed of 130.225mph.

He continued: "It's been a great week and I'm already looking forward to 2010 and getting on to the top step."
