Walker is hoping to do some GP2 testing next year |
Jersey driver James Walker left the penultimate round of the Renault World Series with no points after a disappointing weekend of racing. Walker did not finish race one after a car behind him took a dive up the inside and took him out on lap 18. He then had to start the second race from the back row, in 24th, before finishing in 14th place. The 25-year-old said: "Results-wise I'm pretty disappointed after the promise we showed at Le Mans." The Oxford-based driver added: "The racing is very hard and very close at Estoril - we are still improving and we hope to carry that through to Barcelona." The final round of the season is in Barcelona in three weeks' time at the Circuit de Catalunya, the home of the Formula One Spanish Grand Prix.
