Arsenal moved three points clear at the top of the Women's Premier League with a 2-0 win against Liverpool.
The result maintained Arsenal's perfect League record but left Liverpool just four points above the relegation zone.
In the weekend's only other top flight game, Blackburn Rovers recovered from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 with Bristol Academy.
Nottingham Forest's scheduled bottom of the table clash with Fulham was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Arsenal 2-0 Liverpool
The Gunners were in command for practically the whole of the game but a great display by Reds goalkeeper Nicky Davies kept the scoreline down.
It took the home side until five minutes into the second half to take the lead through striker Kelly Smith's 22nd goal of the season.
And despite piling on the pressure the only other goal came from Smith's England colleague Rachel Yankey 16 minutes from time.
Blackburn Rovers 2-2 Bristol Academy
Bristol wasted the chance to move up to fifth in the table as they let slip an early two-goal lead.
Shelley Cox put the visitors in front after nine minutes and Emma Plewa doubled the advantage eight minutes later.
But striker Katie Anderton reduced the arrears in the 21st minute then hit the equaliser with her 10th goal of the campaign.
Blackburn's point lifted them one place to seventh, one point and one place behind Bristol.
