Scotland striker Julie Fleeting hit a hat-trick as Arsenal swept into the women's Premier League Cup semi-finals with a 7-0 trouncing of Leicester City.

Victory in the one-sided tie, postponed from last week, means Arsenal meet London rivals Chelsea in the last four.

Because of international calls and bad weather there was only one league game on Sunday as Nottingham Forest won their basement battle with Fulham 3-1.

Forest's win lifted them off the bottom at the expense of the Cottagers.

England winger Rachel Yankey put Arsenal ahead in the 20th minute but Leicester held out until a fatal double blow just before half-time.

The Northern Division side were effectively killed off as a Kelly Smith penalty and Fleeting's first goal hit the net within 30 seconds of each other.

An unfortunate Laura Impey own goal five minutes after the interval rubbed salt into the home side's wounds.

And in the last seven minutes Fleeting completed her hat-trick, her final two strikes sandwiching a Ciara Grant goal.

Revised semi-final draw:
Chelsea v Arsenal
Doncaster Rovers Belles v Preston North End

Ties to be played on Sunday 7 December

Women's Premier League
Fulham 1-3 Nottingham Forest

Goals by Dani Duffy and Beth Bailey late in the first half set Forest on the way to a crucial victory that was wrapped up by Cat Stainthorpe in the 70th minute.

Gemma Fraser's goal five minutes from time was no consolation for Fulham as they slipped to the bottom of the table after a poor performance against their survival rivals.
