Michael Kightly marked his return with Wolves' crucial third goal
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy believes Michael Kightly showed his real value during the 3-0 win over Cardiff City.
The winger scored in his first start since suffering an ankle injury in the Black Country derby in late November.
"It shows how important he is by being johnny-on-the-spot and getting the goal that really sealed it for us," McCarthy told BBC WM.
"Everybody knows how good Michael's been since he came here. His contribution's been immense."
I can't imagine Coventry's going to be anything but an exceptionally tough game
Mick McCarthy
Wolves' victory over Cardiff leaves them two points behind the Championship play-off places with two games remaining, with Crystal Palace currently holding the crucial sixth position in the table.
"We've both got tough away games on Saturday." said McCarthy. "Palace are at Hull and we're at Coventry.
"I can't imagine Coventry's going to be anything but an exceptionally tough game. They want to beat us for their own good.
"If we can win we're still involved and that's what we aim to be come the last game of the season."
