Kightly says he recovery has been "remarkable" |
Wolves winger Michael Kightly is hopeful can make a return to action before the end of the season. Kightly recently had surgery to remove a bone spur on his troublesome ankle injury that has virtually kept him out of action since last November.
"I'm going to do 20 minutes jogging and if that goes ok I can progress," Kightly told the Wolves website.
"The surgeon has done a excellent job and I'm hoping to be back in two-to-three weeks.
Kightly has had two aborted comebacks since damaging his ankle in the Black Country derby in November and the subsequent operation was thought to have ended his season.
"It's been frustrating but I can see light at the end of the tunnel now," he said. "It's been less that three weeks since my operation, so my recovery has been remarkable.
"It's very pleasing and I've got a real spring in my step now."
