Douala played seven times during a nine-month loan spell at Portsmouth
Cameroon international winger Rodolphe Douala will play for Plymouth Argyle's reserves on Thursday.
The 30-year-old is on trial at Home Park and will make his first appearance in a green shirt in the second string game against Bournemouth at Tiverton.
Douala, who has 11 caps for his country, played seven games on loan at Portsmouth in 2006-07.
He has played for St Etienne in France as well as a number of Portuguese teams including Sporting Lisbon.
Also set to make a first appearance in a green shirt is new Argyle signing George Donnelly. The 20-year-old joined Argyle last week from non-league Skelmersdale United.
