Plymouth bag Skelmersdale striker

George Donnelly
Donnelly has scored 19 league goals this season and 36 in all competitions

Plymouth have signed striker George Donnelly from Unibond League side Skelmersdale for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old, who had been playing in the First Division North, has agreed terms with the club and will now join old team-mate Craig Noone.

Donnelly, a former warehouse worker, is very happy with the big transition: "It feels great not to have to worry about work and just do what I love doing.

"My pace has probably got me this far, I am excited to help the team."

"I have watched these players on TV but I feel I can do well once I get the fitness from the full-time training. I want to play a few reserve games and work my way up," Donnelly added.

The youngster, who has scored 36 goals this season, turned down a move to Scunthorpe.
