Robbie Blake's late strike handed Burnley victory at Plymouth and ensured that they stayed in the Championship play-off places.
Clarets defender Steven Caldwell gave the visitors the lead with a header past Plymouth keeper Romain Larrieu.
But within a minute Alan Judge equalised for Plymouth when he slipped his shot past Brian Jensen.
Blake grabbed the winner when he made space for himself and drove his shot into the bottom corner.
Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock told BBC Radio Devon:
"Gutted is the word I would use. The players showed a great passion for the game today.
"I thought we were very positive in our approach, but we just didn't get the half chances going in.
"But when you are in this position, that's what happens to you."
Burnley boss Owen Coyle: "Their goal gave them a lift and they put us under a bit of pressure but we changed things around a bit and if you analyse that game we had bout six clear-cut, gilt-edged chances.
"Sometimes it's going to be about grinding it out and as soon as (Blake) controlled it on his chest we all felt it was going into the back of the net because we know the standards we have got."
