Joe Lewis senses resurgence from Peterborough United
Lewis has played in every game this season for Posh
Goalkeeper Joe Lewis is confident Peterborough United are close to hitting their stride in League One.
Posh put back-to-back league defeats behind them with last week's 3-1 win over Walsall, but were held to a 1-1 FA Cup draw by Stockport at the weekend.
Lewis told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "The feeling is we're going to get it right and I'm convinced we will.
"I don't think our top form is far away and when we do hit that you'll see us putting pressure on the top teams."
Boss Gary Johnson has revealed his frustration with his side's inconsistency on more than one occasion this season, especially after the 2-1 reverse at Brentford and the 3-0 home defeat by Brighton.
But Posh, who sit fourth in League One, are only one point adrift of an automatic promotion place and can bolster their prospects with victories in their next two league games against fellow promotion chasers Charlton and Southampton.
"The three points for us are important but it's denying two quality sides three points as well," Lewis added.
"If we can do that then brilliant, we're confident we can do that.
"It is the most important couple of weeks this season because it's the next couple, but no bigger than any other weeks because every game is massive at the moment."
