Gary Johnson threatens Peterborough United away cull
Johnson has made promotion the target this season
Peterborough United boss Gary Johnson has threatened to overlook a number of his players for future matches away from London Road.
Saturday's 2-1 reverse by Brentford was Posh's fourth league defeat out of seven on their travels this season.
Johnson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I'm not sure if I can sort it with the current squad of players I've got.
"A few of them are going to have to show me very quickly that they can. I don't think they can."
Johnson believes his side have struggled to compete when coming up against a direct style of football away from home this season, having also come unstuck at Hartlepool, Tranmere and Bournemouth.
"Some of them were not up for that type of game today, not that they don't want to win the game," he said.
"Away from home we seem to have a few shrinking violets.
"Some of them we have to look at to see if they can handle these type of games away from home and it may be I pick a different team away from home."
Posh have had contrasting fortunes at London Road, winning five out of six League One games and scoring 21 goals in the process in front of their own fans.
In comparison they have only found the net seven times in seven league games on the road this season, but still find themselves third in the table.
"We're Jekyll and Hyde at the moment, I don't know which one's Jekyll and which one's Hyde but we're the good one at home and the bad one away," Johnson joked.
"We've got to try and sort that out quickly and the sooner the better of course."
