Oxford United youngster Sam Deering is back in contention for a starting place according to U's boss Chris Wilder.
The 18-year old impressed after coming on as a second-half substitute in the 1-0 FA Trophy win over Woking.
"The bright light was Sam. He sparked us up and has put himself right back in the frame," Wilder told BBC Oxford.
"He is a young kid. He does things that are daft but he wants to play, he want to achieve and he plays with a conviction and makes things happen."
Deering was also involved in a friendly on Wednesday at Brentford which finished 2-2.
Striker Jack Midson scored both goals for the U's with Billy Turley, Damian Batt, Jamie Cook and Mark Creighton also taking part.
