Constable has impressed Oxford fans with his performances this season

Oxford top scorer James Constable says he has no intention of following fellow loan striker Jamie Guy in making an early exit from the club.

Twelve-goal Constable, on loan from Shrewsbury, is happy to stay following Guy's return to Colchester.

"I haven't heard a thing from Shrewsbury since the day I came on loan," Constable told BBC Oxford.

"I am looking forward to staying for the rest of the season and increasing my goal tally."
