Constable has settled his differences with James Clarke

Oxford United have completed the loan signings of forwards Lewis Haldane and James Constable from Bristol Rovers and Shrewsbury Town respectively.

The year-long moves were confirmed at a Tuesday evening news conference.

Haldane said: "It wasn't an easy decision to drop down to the Conference but once I had met the manager and seen the set-up I was convinced."

Constable told BBC Oxford he had buried the hatchet with Oxford's James Clarke who he clashed with last season.

"I have met James and we have made up," Constable said.

"Rooney and Ronaldo went on to win titles so hopefully we can do the same."

The dispute happened in a match between Oxford and Kidderminster.
