Killock is a highly rated prospect at Huddersfield Town
Oxford United defender Shane Killock has said he wants as much first-team football as possible during his one-month loan spell at the Kassam Stadium.
The 19-year old believes he can help the U's climb the table after seeing his opportunities limited this season at Huddersfield Town.
"Personally for me it is a chance to play and get some experience," Killock told BBC Oxford.
"The club is 11th at the moment and I want to help us reach the play-offs."
Killock joined on Friday along with Sheffield United full-back Adam Chapman.
And he said the appeal of playing in front of Oxford's home following was a big pull for both players in making the switch to the Kassam Stadium.
"They are getting nearly 5,500 for home games and you can't ask for any more than that for a Conference club."
Killock and Chapman missed out on their U's debuts at Eastbourne after the game was called off but are likely to be included in the squad for the FA Trophy game against York City on 10 January.
