Strikers James Constable and Ricky Sappleton helped Oxford beat Salisbury at the Kassam Stadium on Thursday.

Keeper James Bittner was in fine form for the visitors, but their defence finally crumbled after 71 minutes.

Constable created space inside the penalty area before calmly slotting home a low shot.

With six minutes left Adam Murray made up for an earlier miss when he passed to substitute Sappleton who placed the ball into the bottom-right corner.
