Adam Murray joined Oxford from Macclesfield in January
Midfielder Adam Murray says Oxford United can push themselves further up the Conference table after battling back to grab a point against Torquay.
Thursday night's last-minute equaliser from Phil Trainer lifted Oxford two points clear of the drop zone.
And Murray told BBC Oxford that they now have to look forward rather than dwelling on their disappointing start.
"We haven't been good enough," said Murray. "But we have to be positive. There has been too much negative talk."
Oxford are due to play their second game inside three days at Altrincham on Sunday.
But, ahead of this weekend's Blue Square Premier programme, Darren Patterson's men were still in 18th place, having won just four times this season in 14 games.
