Phil Trainer's 89th-minute goal rescued a point for Oxford against in-form Torquay on Thursday.

Chris Robertson put Torquay on course for their sixth win in seven games by scruffily turning in Kevin Nicholson`s corner after 20 minutes.

Trainer, Jamie Guy, James Constable and Lewis Haldane all went close for Oxford, but found Torquay goalkeeper Scott Bevan in fine form.

But with time running out, Trainer scored from close range to earn a draw.
