Hull City enquire about West Brom striker Roman Bednar
Bednar joined West Brom from Hearts for 2.3m in May 2008
Hull City manager Nigel Pearson has said that the Tigers have made an enquiry about West Bromwich Albion striker Roman Bednar.
The 27-year-old Czech has not started a Premier League game for the Baggies since the opening day of the season.
"We've been trying to strengthen the squad, but it's not been easy," Pearson told BBC Radio Humberside.
"We'll have to wait and see. We've made an enquiry and if we get anything more definite I will make a comment then."
He added: "The situation at his club is such that we've not been able to do it so far.
"I don't like to comment on other people's players until it is appropriate."
Bednar moved to The Hawthorns on loan from Hearts in August 2007 and made the move permanent for £2.3m in May 2008.
He has made 69 appearances for Albion, scoring 17 goals, but has featured in only six games this season.
In May 2009 he was given a three-month ban by the Football Association following newspaper allegations that he bought cocaine and cannabis outside his house in Sutton Coldfield.
