Grimsby Town have no intention of selling top scorer Alan Connell when the transfer window opens, according to chairman John Fenty.
The former Bournemouth and Brentford striker, 27, has scored 14 goals in 19 league games this season.
The Mariners chairman told BBC Radio Humberside: "As far as I'm concerned we need Alan to spur us on.
"Alan's contracted to this club for two seasons. If we get promoted it automatically triggers a third season."
But Fenty said goalkeeper Nick Colgan, currently on loan at Huddersfield, had no future at Blundell Park.
"Nick won't be playing for Grimsby Town Football Club going forward. It's best to be put to bed and left at that, " he said.
