Bednar joined West Brom from Hearts in 2008 following a loan spell
West Bromwich Albion striker Roman Bednar has been cleared to return to action after he admitted to being in possession of recreational drugs.
It was claimed that the 26-year-old purchased cocaine and cannabis outside his house in May.
The Czech international was suspended by the club on 17 May and has been given a back-dated three-month ban by the Football Association.
Bednar is now eligible to rejoin the first-team squad from Monday.
Following the FA's decision, the club will now conduct its own internal investigation to decide what sanctions it will take against the former Hearts man.
Bednar admitted FA charges of "possession and use of a prohibited substance", and was also given a police caution for possessing a small amount of class A drugs, principally cocaine, and cannabis.
He was signed from Hearts for £2.3m in June 2008 following an initial loan spell and scored 17 goals in 22 starts in his first season, helping West Brom win promotion to the Premier League.
However, he started just 12 times last season, coming off the bench on 14 occasions, as West Brom were relegated back to the Championship.
