Carlisle United extend loan for Stoke winger Marshall
Marshall has yet to play for Stoke
Carlisle United have extended the loan of Stoke City winger Ben Marshall until the end of the season.
Marshall, 19, spent the first half of the campaign at Brunton Park and impressed with two goals in 20 games for Greg Abbott's side.
"He has really settled into it again over the last few weeks and is showing everyone what a good player he is," Abbott told the club website.
"Stoke are really pleased with the way things are going for their player."
Abbott added: "They are happy for him to stay, and we are obviously delighted that we can keep him here.
"Hopefully we'll see Ben continue to progress as he stays with us for the remainder of this season."
Marshall is in his second stint at Carlisle having made 20 appearances for the club last season, and has also spent time on loan at Cheltenham and Northampton.
"I'd also like to say thank you to Tony Pulis and Stoke City because they have been fantastic in allowing Ben to stay with us, and in the way that they have handled the situation with him from day one," Abbott said.
