Marshall has yet to make a first-team appearance for Stoke
Winger Ben Marshall says he had no hesitation in re-joining Carlisle United on loan from Stoke City.
The 19-year-old is back for a second spell at Brunton Park after scoring three times in 20 appearances for the Cumbrians last season.
"It wasn't really a hard choice for me to make in the end," Marshall told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"The squad this season look stronger than last year and there's a good buzz around the place, it's exciting."
Marshall came on as a second-half substitute in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Swindon Town at Brunton Park.
I came here last year and did quite well and hopefully I'll go back to Stoke a bit stronger

That result leaves the Cumbrians unbeaten so far this season and up to second in League One.
Marshall added: "The manager (Tony Pulis) wanted me to go out on-loan again and I was happy to return."
The winger will still train two days a week at Stoke, with Pulis keen to keep a close eye on the former Crewe trainee's progress during his four month stay at Brunton Park.
Carlisle manager Greg Abbott has already indicated that he may ask Marshall to play a more central role for the team as well as his more recognised wide role.
"I used to play just behind the forwards as a kid so I know all about that," Marshall said. "Wherever I play I hope I can do well."
