Michalik and Marshall hope to be available for the visit of Swindon

Carlisle United have signed Leeds United defender Lubomir Michalik and Stoke City winger Ben Marshall on loan until 3 January.

Michalik has made 69 appearances for the Yorkshire club since moving from Bolton on a permanent basis for £500,000 in January 2008.

Marshall, 19, made 20 appearances, scoring three goals during a loan spell at Brunton Park last season.

Both players are in the squad for Saturday's visit of Swindon Town.

Comfortable at centre-back, Michalik is a Slovakia international, with four caps, and played in the Premier League for former club Bolton.

Marshall, who can also play as a striker, has also enjoyed spells with Cheltenham Town and Northampton.
