Rendell is on loan with Cambridge United until January
Cambridge United's on-loan striker Scott Rendell wants to hear from parent club Peterborough before making any decision about his future at the Abbey.
Rendell, 22, rejoined the U's from Posh last month, but would like to return to London Road in January.
The former Reading and Crawley man told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I don't really know what situation I'm in.
"I'll have to wait and see what Peterborough tell me to do and then it will be my decision."
Posh boss Darren Ferguson has hinted that he may look to offload Rendell in January, but the U's would struggle to finance any permanent deal.
Rendell scored his first goal since returning to the Abbey against Ebbsfleet on Saturday, and believes his partnership with fellow forward Danny Crow looks to be a decent one.
"We've worked together before in training at Peterborough, and our partnership here seems to have clicked quite early," he said.
"We know where we're going to be, we work hard for the team and I think everyone appreciates that."
