Peterborough United striker Scott Rendell is planning to fight for his place at London Road.
The former Cambridge man, 22, has been on loan at Yeovil for the last month, but is now back with Posh.
Rendell told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Ideally I would love to stay at Peterborough, but we'll have to see how it goes in January.
"I haven't played that many games for Posh, but I always knew I'd have to work hard to break into the side."

Rendell made six appearances in his spell with Yeovil, but failed to find the back of the net.
Nevertheless, the Reading academy product says he enjoyed his time in Somerset.
"It makes you feel like you're involved again, being back in the starting 11 in League One," he said.
"It does your confidence the world of good, even though I haven't scored."
Rendell is currently Darren Ferguson's fourth-choice striker behind Aaron Mclean, Craig Mackail-Smith and Shaun Batt.
