Trollope has brought in Darryl Duffy and Jeff Hughes during the summer

Bristol Rovers first-team coach Paul Trollope says he hopes to sign a striker before the start of the season.

Trollope told BBC Radio Bristol: "We still want to add a striker. The Wayne Andrews fitness situation is ongoing and we'll assess that as it goes on.

"If we can manipulate the squad in any other way we will do that. The progression we aim for, we believe we are getting there.

"It's an interesting time and it's imperative we start the season well."

Striker Darryl Duffy and defender Steve Elliott should both be fit for the friendly with FC Den Haag at the Memorial Stadium on Saturday (1500 BST).
